This is not another rumor, this is for real. There won't be a camera on the iPod touch. This is probably the biggest bummers to come out of Apple this month but it’s off set by the triumphant and heartfelt return of Steve Jobs. What does this mean? No cam on the iPod touch could mean a lot of things but I doubt that technological incompetence is one of them. As it is, they probably can put one on it, but that just means either a more expensive iPod Touch or a cam that takes very poor pics. I'm sure that a lot of people might not mind the poor quality, but Apple is all about quality control. The sexiness of the device shouldn't mean that it's any less amazing than its bulkier counter parts. advertisement
If touch doesn't get a camera then iPod Nano's getting one. Although it isn't a mobile phone and it was heading in that direction anyway, this just goes to show that Apple is letting us simmer before it goes on another leap ahead of its competitors. If it's not taking a leap now, then its competitors will catch up to it. Zune HD is probably one of the iPod's biggest competitors that is yet to leap ahead of it. With the appropriate innovations and software improvements, it will cease to be a good alternative and turn into the mainstream. Although Zune is pretty good in itself, I think that this is hoping for too much.
