 This is my first post on the new job, so please leave a friendly comment and let me know if you think my stuff's worth reading. When you're starting out on a new job, you tend to dwell on the job you left behind. You might have had more fun in the old job because you were downsized or you look back to your experience for answers, because after all, your experience is what landed you the new job in the first place. So what I want to talk about is the importance of IT support in a work environment. You might think that it isn't important to have it in your office but think about it; time is money, and you’re losing precious time waiting for someone to come over some internet glitch or laggy computer performance.

If you have an IT support technician handy in the office then you'll save yourself a lot of trouble. Information technology is the difference between a competent establishment and the ones on the brink of disaster. You can encounter a lot of stuff that require IT support. From hardware malfunctions to problems with software from time to time will make an IT support staff worth what you're paying. In a single office day, you can encounter severe data loss, a breach in network security, spy ware within a computer or your network and the ever abundant box of spam. Problems like these can occur lots of times and it will slow down any progress you make. As a manager or as the owner, you need to make sure that these road bumps don't happen.
It should be solved with convenience and ease. Some problems might be pretty simple and I guess that there are a lot of us out there that have some knowledge when it comes to technology problems, but you shouldn't risk your software or hardware experimenting with a way to solve what seems to be a small problem. I've seen people tinker with small problems by trying to delete this or copying this application to that folder just to see if it works. More often than not, that just escalates the problem and may cost more than what you could have paid to fix the original problem. When you're looking for an IT support technician, know what kind of support you need. Some professionals may be just right for the software and hardware you run, while some might not be the best technicians. Optimize the service that you receive. Know the systems that you work with so you can have optimum efficiency. When you encounter problems with your system or when you want to know more about how your IT system works, consult your IT support because that's what they're there for. Healthy communication will help you out when you're picking out upgrades. This way, you won't find yourself stumbling around in the dark and as always, you won't regret the money you invest on your equipment. Yes, IT support is that important. If you use computers then you should definitely put in some money for the resident technical support. Your work place will become more efficient and if ever anything screws up, no problem, you can have them conveniently solved right away.
