3 Easy Tips To Personalize Your Facebook Page

Tags: , ,

Considering that I put up a post about how we shouldn't use Facebook all the time, I think that this post might be contradicting what I posted the last time, but what the hey? I think that people should know how to show off with nifty internet tricks. If you think that an application doesn't really have a real practical purpose but you think it's awesome anyway, you should definitely show it off to your friends anyway because who knows when you get to do it again. It'll be especially sweeter if you have a friend who's pretty techie but doesn't really explore his Facebook account. A simple Facebook trick can be done without changing any setting whatsoever. It actually sounds like a trick that you might pick up from playing a video game. After you log in or any time that you're on FB for that matter, just press these keys: UP ARROW, UP ARROW, DOWN ARROW, DOWN ARROW, LEFT ARROW, RIGHT ARROW, LEFT ARROW, RIGHT ARROW, PRESS B, PRESS A and then PRESS ENTER.

After you do this try scrolling up and down or just casually browse around. You'll immediately notice something weird on the screen flashing about. It will be annoying if you're not used to it but, don't worry, it's not harmful and it'll just go away. If it doesn't try logging out and log back in again. Now, when you browse you either browse sites that are in English or you might stumble across a site that's in another language and you might not understand it at all. However, there's a Facebook setting that changes your language of preference into upside down text. You can change that by clicking on the settings tab on the upper right side of the page.

Change the language into English (Upside Down). I don't recommend this however because you'll be the only person reading the upside down text and it'll just make things difficult for you unless you're accustomed to reading things upside down. Another option is to change the setting to pirate talk. Reading the translation might amuse you for hours. On Facebook Chat, you'll see all your friends and they'll see you. If you want to be online but don't want some of them bothering you while you're playing a game, you have the option of turning the chat off. What if you want to hide from your Facebook friends that you really just don't want to talk to at the moment but you still want to be visible to other people? All you have to do is create a "block list" or call it whatever you like. After you do that, click edit and then add the people who you don't want to see you online. After that all you have to do is click on the upper left part of the chat menu and go offline. There are a few applications out there to optimize and have fun with your Facebook account, but these are the only ones I know of that don’t include installing or using outside software. I’ll do those next time.
