 With all the people that are connecting to the internet it's practically a requirement to have some sort of social media connectivity. If you've just been going on the internet just to read the news or because you use e-mail, then it shouldn't be anymore trouble to start a social networking account. Twitter and Facebook are very popular forms of social networking websites and it's always best to have an account at the most popular one. Why? simply because it's popular. Logically, the more popular it is the more people know about it, and the more people that know about it, it just means that more people use it.

So if there's a college friend that you haven't seen in a while or an acquaintance that you'd like to get to know more, Facebook and Twitter can provide. But enough about Twitter, because this post is how to use Facebook. The site itself can give instructions but some of them aren't clear enough.
Making An Account
Well, the first step is to visit the website. Head on over to Facebook.com and just start typing the information required. Don't start typing at the upper right part since you don't have an account yet, fill in the information and required at every step and voila! You have your account. It'll start asking you to invite friends through your e-mail so just give out that information.
Don't worry. Everyone else did it. Soon you can start inviting friends simply by searching for them in the search tab on the upper right side of the screen by typing either their complete name or their e-mail address. If none of those work, you can just ask them if they use Facebook and invite them yourself.
Editing Your Profile and Uploading Your Picture
Other than start adding friends, one of the things that you should start on is putting information on your profile page so that people know the person behind the account. So, click profile on the upper left part of your home page and you'll see your profile page. You can start with the "Write something about yourself." portion. Click on it and you can write a synopsis of who you are. You can go to the "info" portion of the profile page and start filling in the information tabs. After you finish, just save the changes.
Now that your information is all down there, you'll want to upload a profile picture. You can upload any picture you want, but it would be most appropriate if you used a nice picture of yourself. Click on the box on the upper left part and click on change picture. You can see the upload picture button and upload one hat's in a folder on your computer or you can the "Take a picture" option if you have a webcam attached to your computer. Just allow Facebook to have access to your camera and you can save the picture directly on your profile page.
